MOM, PRESS SECRETARY, ADVOCATE
& MILITARY SPOUSE

HELLO,
I'M ELIZABETH PEACE
Elizabeth is a mom, military spouse, dog rescuer, and passionate child advocate.
An avid volunteer, she created the Sgt. BARK coloring books, worked with a domestic violence hotline, and served on the boards of both the Washington City Chamber of Commerce and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). She teaches child sexual abuse prevention through Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children program and mentors at-risk youth. She currently serves in the Civil Air Patrol as the South Carolina Wing Director of Marketing and Communications.
Following her service in the U.S. Air Force, Elizabeth worked her way through college as a single mom, launching a journalism career that began in print as a sports editor and crime reporter, eventually becoming a managing editor. She founded St. George News, now the largest media outlet in southern Utah, and spent years volunteering as a judge for the Society of Professional Journalists’ Media Excellence Awards. She continues to teach journalism and public relations.
Elizabeth later served as a speechwriter and communications director in the U.S. House of Representatives before taking on public affairs roles with the U.S. Army and Navy. Today, she continues her federal service as a senior public affairs specialist.
In her spare time, she and her family travel as “small-town tourists,” exploring the charm of America’s communities, national parks, and historic sites. She enjoys interior decorating, painting furniture, and baking Norwegian fattigmann, a skill passed down from her grandmother. While not fluent yet, she’s learning French to keep up with her husband—a U.S. Marine who took up painting in the French countryside. Together, they’re raising two boys and four rescue dogs (and counting!).
She is a two-time author and believes working with children is not just her calling—it’s her purpose.
