MOM, PRESS SECRETARY, ADVOCATE
& MILITARY SPOUSE

HELLO,
I'M ELIZABETH PEACE
Elizabeth Peace is a storyteller, advocate, and mom on a mission to help others find their voice and use it to create change.
A proud military spouse, former U.S. Airman, and lifelong dog rescuer, Elizabeth has spent decades serving her community—in and out of uniform. She currently volunteers as the South Carolina Wing Director of Marketing and Communications for the Civil Air Patrol, where she mentors youth and leads initiatives that amplify their stories and achievements.
Her passion for protecting children runs deep. Elizabeth created the Sgt. BARK coloring books to teach kids about safety, has served on the boards of the Washington City Chamber of Commerce and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), worked with a domestic violence hotline, and teaches child sexual abuse prevention through Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children program. She continues to mentor at-risk youth, believing that working with children is not just her calling—it’s her purpose.
Elizabeth’s career began after her service in the U.S. Air Force. As a single mom, she worked her way through college and launched a journalism career that spanned print, broadcast, and digital media. She started as a sports editor and crime reporter, rose to managing editor, and went on to found St. George News, now the largest media outlet in southern Utah. She has taught journalism and public relations, and served for years as a judge for the Society of Professional Journalists’ Media Excellence Awards.
Her path then led her to public service in Washington, D.C., where she served as a speechwriter and communications director in the U.S. House of Representatives before taking on public affairs roles with the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. Today, she continues her federal service as a senior public affairs specialist.
Outside of her professional world, Elizabeth and her family love exploring small towns, historic sites, and national parks as self-proclaimed “small-town tourists.” She enjoys interior decorating, painting furniture, and baking Norwegian fattigmann cookies—a cherished family tradition passed down from her grandmother. While not fluent yet, she’s learning French to keep up with her husband, a U.S. Marine who discovered a love for painting in the French countryside. Together, they’re raising two boys and four rescue dogs (and counting!).
Elizabeth is also a two-time author, and at the heart of everything she does is this belief:
Our stories have power—and when we share them, we can spark healing, hope, and lasting change.
